When was Dammam Well No. 7 Discovered?

Dammam Well No. 7 – the oil well – which was named the “Well of Prosperity”, was discovered in the north of Dhahran in Al-Khobar Governorate in the Eastern Province of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in 1938, i.e. after about five years of oil exploration and drilling following the signing by the Founding King Abdulaziz Bin Abdulrahman Al Saud of the oil exploration concession agreement with the company “Standard Oil of California (Socal)” in Jeddah on May 29, 1933. The agreement at that time covered exploration over an area of about 829,000 km2, specifically from the north of Saudi Arabia at the Iraqi border, to the Al-Dahna Desert to the west, and Al-Rub’ al Khali (Empty Quarter) Desert to the south.
