What Is the Role of the Saudi Computer Emergency Response Team (Saudi CERT)?

Saudi CERT raises awareness of cybersecurity issues in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and carries out several tasks, including:

• Raising the level of awareness regarding cybersecurity in Saudi Arabia.
• Setting plans and policies that monitor and analyze warnings by adopting and continually advancing modern technologies.
• Encouraging government entities and private-sector institutions to raise cybersecurity awareness.
• Publishing warning messages on Saudi CERT's website and its social media accounts to avoid the risks of digital intrusions and to mitigate their effects if they occur.
• Cooperating and building partnerships locally and internationally, identifying cybersecurity practices to implement educational programs, and disseminating practices for addressing security vulnerabilities.
• Launching awareness campaigns and programs in cooperation with the relevant entities.
