The Black Stone is one of the corners of Al-Kaaba Al-Musharrafa in the Grand Mosque in Makkah al-Mukarramah. It is located at its southeastern corner and is distinguished by its cavity, silver frame, and black interior color. It is elevated about one and a half meters above the Mataf area and marks the starting and ending point of Tawaf. The Black Stone appears oval-shaped from the outside, with part of it embedded within the structure of Al-Kaaba Al-Musharrafa.

Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him (PBUH), was the one who placed the Black Stone in its position during the Quraysh’s reconstruction of Al-Kaaba before his prophethood. It remained in place without alteration until the great fire broke out in Al-Kaaba during the time of Abdullah Bin Al-Zubair, causing damage to the corner and breaking it into three pieces before it was reinforced with silver.
