The Saudi Ardah is one of the most prominent folkloric dances in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
It involves the use of various types of drums, with performers wearing a special outfit consisting of two layers of clothing. Originally a war chant that incorporated specific sword movements, it later evolved into a dance performed during celebrations and festivals.
In 2015, the Saudi Ardah was included on the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) List of Intangible Cultural Heritage.
