What is al-Qazoui Dance in Saudi Arabia?
Al-Qazoui dance is one of the well-known folk dances and traditional arts in the southern region of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It is a war dance associated with the Qahtan tribe and later spread to other tribes.
The dance does not include a specific rhythm and it relies on vocal sounds and foot movements. In the past, it was performed before battles as a preparation for combat and after victory as an expression of joy. Nowadays, it is performed during weddings, holidays, and special occasions.
