What are the Contents of the Black Gold Museum?

The Black Gold Museum is home to petroleum-related artworks, with spaces for around two hundred artworks, multimedia installations, contemporary art, and visual displays. It also includes areas for permanent and temporary exhibitions, consultation and education spaces, conference rooms, a café, and a shop. The museum is located at the King Abdullah Petroleum Studies and Research Center (KAPSARC) in Riyadh, the capital of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The museum tells the story of the relationship between humans and oil through an artistic journey that explores oil from its raw state to its various branches in the present day. This journey is presented through four stations: “Encounter,” “Dreams,” “Doubts,” and “Future.” Each station showcases works that support the concept of creativity under the respective section’s title.
