Announcement of the library project.
1985
Commencement of project implementation.
1987.
Formation of a temporary management team for the library.
1988
Construction, furnishing, and equipping.
1990
Issuance of a Council of Ministers decision approving the library's law and administrative structure, ratified by a Royal Decree.
1994
Implementation of the Deposit Law and international numbering at the library for the registration and cataloging of books and periodicals.
