Rasha Al-Khamees
Rasha Mohammed Al-Khamees is the President of the Saudi Mixed Martial Arts Federation in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, since 2025, and she is a member of the Board of Directors of the Asian Boxing Confederation, and Vice-Chair of the Strategy Committee and Board Advisor – Strategic Planning at the International Boxing Association (IBA).
Education
Rasha Al-Khamees obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Management from King Saud University in 2011, then a Master’s degree in Public Policy and Administration from the University of Southern California in the United States of America in 2015.
Athletic life
Rasha Al-Khamees began her athletic career when she was seven years old; she took part in various sports, including basketball, football, long-distance running, and cycling, eventually moving on to boxing, which she began practicing as an amateur in 2013 while studying in the United States of America. She participated in several tournaments, and in 2017 she was classified as the first certified coach by the Saudi Boxing Federation. She trained female students at King Saud University and Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University.
She was appointed a member of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Boxing Federation in 2018, and in 2021 she was appointed Vice-President of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Boxing Federation, and in 2025, she was appointed President of the Saudi Mixed Martial Arts Federation. She has experience in transformational leadership in the sports, culture, and entertainment sectors, and she also held the position of strategic advisor to global companies.
Achievements
Rasha Al-Khamees was selected in 2025 among the most powerful women in sport by ADWEEK, and she holds record numbers in the Guinness World Records, including playing the highest football match in the world at an altitude of 5,714 m on the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro in 2017, and playing the lowest football match at an altitude of 362 m below sea level in the Dead Sea in Jordan in 2018, and Spotlight magazine honored her for her efforts in advancing Saudi Arabia’s global sports profile and creating sporting opportunities for women.
