List of the Objectives of the Visual Distortion Treatment Initiative

Visual Distortion Treatment Initiative was launched in 2018 in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia by the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing (currently the Ministry of Municipalities and Housing). The initiative includes several activities, such as preserving the environment, protecting public facilities, and removing seventeen manifestations that cause visual distortion in the landscape. It also works to achieve several objectives, including:

• Improving the urban landscape of Saudi cities.
• Restoring and rehabilitating the aesthetic aspects of the urban landscape.
• Enhancing the quality of life by promoting awareness and civic behavior.
• Preserving public facilities.
• Protecting the environment.
• Providing an opportunity to report instances of visual distortion to the relevant authorities.
