King Salman Global Academy Prize for Arabic Language 2025 is the fourth edition of the prize, launched on March 1, 2025, by King Salman Global Academy for Arabic Language. It is one of the academy’s annual initiatives, aimed at honoring distinguished efforts in serving the Arabic language, promoting innovation and creativity across various fields related to the language, encouraging interest in it, and supporting its presence in scientific, educational, technical, and societal sectors.
The prize is one of the initiatives that contribute to achieving the goals of Saudi Vision 2030, which include stimulating projects that enrich Arabic content, strengthening linguistic identity, and contributing to the global spread of the Arabic language.
Objectives of King Salman Global Academy Prize for Arabic Language 2025
King Salman Global Academy Prize for Arabic Language 2025 aims to support the status of the Arabic language in the hearts of its speakers and those interested in it; contribute to preserving and promoting the integrity of the Arabic language in all its elements and skills; empower Arabic knowledge content; motivate specialists and interested parties to participate in the development of the Arabic language in terms of production, creativity, and protection; and raise awareness of the role of the Arabic language by highlighting its status in practice.
Target Groups of King Salman Global Academy Prize for Arabic Language 2025
King Salman Global Academy Prize for Arabic Language 2025 targets individuals who have contributed their intellectual output to serving the Arabic language, its branches, and its speakers, both locally and globally, such as researchers, specialists, authors, writers, and others interested in the Arabic language.
The prize also targets governmental and private institutions that have served the Arabic language through tangible products, reliable works, and projects, such as higher education institutions, specialized organizations and research centers, and both private and governmental entities.
Branches of King Salman Global Academy Prize for Arabic Language 2025
King Salman Global Academy Prize for Arabic Language has four main branches: teaching and learning the Arabic language; the computerization of and support for the Arabic language through modern technologies; the presentation of research on the Arabic language and its scientific studies; and the promotion of linguistic awareness, along with support for community initiatives that contribute to the spread of the Arabic language locally and globally.
Criteria of King Salman Global Academy Prize for Arabic Language 2025
The works nominated for the King Salman Global Academy Prize for Arabic Language 2025 are judged and evaluated by eighteen arbitrators from different countries around the world through three arbitration cycles, namely: sorting and filtering, scientific examination, and final arbitration. This process is conducted according to specific criteria and indicators, such as innovation and creativity, excellence in the work produced, comprehensiveness and widespread dissemination, in addition to effectiveness and impact achieved. Winners in the individual and institutional categories receive a prize of SAR200,000.
