International Conference and Exhibition for Education 2022 (ICEE 2022)
The International Conference and Exhibition for Education 2022 (ICEE 2022) is an educational event organized by the Ministry of Education in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on May 8, 2022, in Riyadh City. It continued for four days and was accredited by the United Kingdom’s Continuing Professional Development (CPD) certification service.
Objectives of ICEE 2022
The Ministry of Education identified several objectives for the conference, including the development of education in Saudi Arabia, the provision of an educational environment based on international collaboration, and the building of relationships with educational institutions around the world, in a way that contributes to creating a vibrant society centered on human development and community advancement, in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
Sessions and recommendations of ICEE 2022
The conference discussed issues related to the development of education in its sessions, including the challenges facing educational policies and the digital transformation and e-learning in Saudi Arabia. Ministers and education experts participated in the sessions, along with around 110 local entities and 152 international ones, including UNESCO, in addition to institutions and educational bodies from twenty-three countries.
The conference witnessed the attendance of about 131,460 visitors, while 9,430 participants attended the conference sessions, and 6,850 attended the workshops. The total number of visitors and participants in sessions and workshops reached 147,740. The conference included 137 workshops, and eighty-nine agreements and memoranda of cooperation were signed between universities, ministries, institutes, and national and international institutions and companies serving the education sector.
The conference concluded with some recommendations, including focusing on educational systems that foster life skills for learners across all levels of education, and the importance of developing diverse modes of thinking by introducing teaching methods and programs. It also recommended moving toward blended learning as an educational model that contributes to shaping a well-informed individual equipped with academic knowledge and personal skills.
Exhibits ICEE 2022
The conference featured the participation of 262 national and international exhibitors serving the education sector and investing in research, innovation, and infrastructure. Their exhibits included several sections, such as:
- Electronics, including audiovisual equipment, e-books, mobile computing devices, innovative learning technologies, interactive technology, microelectronics, and robotics.
- Information technology, including classroom management systems (CMS), content creation systems, communication devices, learning management systems (LMS), online learning resources, e-learning, social media integration, school and system management, IT solution providers, smart learning, computers, and tablets.
- Laboratory equipment, including lab tools and supplies, solutions, and devices.
- Training centers, including administrative training centers, special educational needs centers, and solutions.
- Furniture and equipment, including school and office furniture, technology, and supplies.
- Support service companies: Contracting companies, transportation services, healthcare and medical services, cleaning and maintenance services, public library equipment, safety and security services, ventilation, air conditioning and lighting systems, flooring companies, design and decoration firms, printing presses and publishing houses, food catering companies, and consultants.
- Sport and fitness, including fitness clubs, gyms, fitness equipment, specialized consultants, nutrition products distributors, manufacturers for the education sector, institutes for education and research in sports, manufacturers of sporting goods, fitness equipment, fitness programs and applications, and sportswear.
