Human Capability Initiative Conference 2025 "HCI 2025", is the second edition of the Human Capability Initiative Conference, organized by the Human Capability Development Program, one of the Saudi Vision 2030 programs, under the slogan “Beyond Future Readiness.” It was held from April 13-14, 2025, at the King Abdulaziz International Conference Centre in Riyadh, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, which organized the International Education Exhibition (EDGEx) alongside the conference activities from April 13-16, 2025.

Goals of the Human Capability Initiative Conference 2025

The Human Capability Initiative Conference 2025 aims to unify international efforts, enrich global dialogue, contribute to defining the future of human capabilities, and build a developed global economy by discussing opportunities and challenges within global changes. 

Target groups of the Human Capability Initiative Conference 2025

The Human Capability Initiative Conference 2025 targeted international organizations, policy makers, companies, entrepreneurs, investors, and also academic institutions, research centers, think tanks, non-profit sectors and social institutions.

Participants in the conference included leaders from various governmental agencies, including representatives from Korean education, the private sector, non-profits, academic institutions, and international organizations such as: the International Labour Organization (ILO), the World Bank, the World Economic Forum (WEF), UNICEF, the UNDP, as well as companies like Microsoft, Google for Education, London Business School, Apple Academy, and the University of Chicago's Harris School of Public Policy. 

Themes of the Human Capability Initiative Conference 2025

The Human Capability Initiative Conference 2025 discussed opportunities and challenges in three main themes:

- Harnessing potential for human capability development: Through the use of modern technological means, contributing to building a supportive educational environment for lifelong creativity and innovation.

- Instilling values; to enhance growth and development: By forming interconnected communities where every individual feels responsible and belonging towards others, aiming for societal growth.

- Dedicating efforts; to magnify impact: By empowering individuals and communities, aiming to build a better future through creating sustainable solutions and continuous impact.

Sessions at the Human Capability Initiative Conference 2025

The Human Capability Initiative Conference 2025 included panel discussions exploring various topics related to human capability development such as: the role of human capabilities as an economic driver, by exploring potential ways to achieve development and equality, and providing opportunities to achieve comprehensive balance among all categories, in addition to human capacities in the age of Artificial Intelligence, focusing on the growth opportunities the sector offers, balanced solutions, and the impact of AI on human capabilities .

The panel discussions were held across five platforms: the Beyond Future Readiness platform, Human Capability Dialogue platform, Success Stories platform, L.A.B platform, and Tamkeen.

Outcomes of the Human Capability Initiative Conference 2025

The Human Capability Initiative Conference 2025 hosted about three hundred speakers from forty countries, attended by about 13,000 people from 120 countries, participating in one hundred panel discussions. The conference also included agreements and launches worth about SAR8.5 billion covering various sectors of human capability development. 

The Ministry of Commerce, represented by the Minister of Commerce and Chair of the Economic and Social Committee of the Saudi-British Strategic Partnership Council, launched the "Future Skills" initiative during the conference, aiming to exchange quality experiences that contribute to developing future skills, in about thirteen promising sectors, with the participation of forty officials and one hundred leaders from the Saudi-British business sector.
