The Gate to Municipal Investment (Furas) is a Saudi electronic platform through which the Ministry of Municipalities and Housing offers the investment opportunities provided by municipalities in cities and governorates of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under a unified umbrella, to facilitate traders’ and investors’ access to them and enable them to choose what suits them, through a digital system.

Establishment of the Gate to Municipal Investment (Furas)

The Gate to Municipal Investment (Furas) was launched in 2019. It brings together in one platform the investment opportunities of around 285 municipalities across Saudi Arabia, presenting them to those interested in benefiting from municipal investment opportunities.

Importance of the Gate to Municipal Investment (Furas)

The Gate to Municipal Investment (Furas) serves as a Saudi database for investment opportunities and as a reference for those seeking opportunities ranging from small and medium to large-scale investments. The platform offers a search service with user-friendly criteria that enable investors to access opportunities by region and city without the need to travel. It also allows direct access to opportunities through the website or its smart applications on mobile phones and portable devices.

Contributions of the Gate to Municipal Investment (Furas)

The platform contributes to promoting diverse investment activities across Saudi Arabia, particularly in villages distant from major cities, as it directly supports their development and growth through its diversity in locations, levels, and sectors. The gate is considered one of the new digital tools facilitating investment, including the purchase of request-for-proposal documents and the signing of contracts electronically.

It enables investors to search for available opportunities within Saudi Arabia by type of activity or geographic location, ensuring that investors can make decisions based on their own convictions, while also encouraging them toward opportunities with strong investment potential and social impact.

Through the platform, users can view details of the request-for-proposal (RFP) documents, apply directly, and receive notifications related to the opportunities and projects they have submitted investment requests for.
