Enass Al-Shahwan
Enass Ahmed Al-Shahwan, is a Saudi diplomat serving as the ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to the Republic of Poland since 2025. She also held the position of ambassador to the Kingdom of Sweden and the Republic of Iceland.
Enass Al-Shahwan's education
Enass Al-Shahwan earned a bachelor’s degree in computer science from King Saud University in 2004, followed by a master's degree in information systems from Griffith University in Australia in 2008 . She also obtained a master's degree in international relations, specializing in international relations and affairs, from the Australian National University in 2010, and later received an emerging leadership certificate from Harvard University.
Enass Al-Shahwan's professional journey
Enass Al-Shahwan began her professional career in the diplomatic field at the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs from 2007 to 2008. She was then appointed as a second secretary at the Saudi Arabian Embassy in Canberra, Australia, from 2008 to 2011. She later worked at the Information and Studies Center of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from 2011 to 2017, and subsequently held the position of Director of West and Central Asia Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' Political Affairs Agency from 2017 to 2020.
In 2020, Al-Shahwan was appointed as an advisor to the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs until 2021. She then assumed the position of ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to the Kingdom of Sweden and the Republic of Iceland for about four years from 2021 to 2025. In 2025, she was appointed as the ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to the Republic of Poland, and she has represented Saudi Arabia at numerous international and regional forums.
