Matarat Holding Company

Matarat Holding Company is a closed joint-stock company affiliated with the Saudi General Authority of Civil Aviation. It was established on April 13, 2013, to create opportunities for local and international investors in the airport sector and develop airports in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The company operates based on the civil aviation sector strategy to engage the private sector, govern air transportation according to principles that support the industry's future, and adhere to global practices. Its objectives include developing airports, attracting domestic and international investments, enhancing integration in the transportation system and logistics services, and improving customer experience.

Matarat Holding Company aims to oversee and develop Saudi airports by engaging the private sector and attracting both local and international investments. This is to contribute to enhancing the level of services provided to customers and offering multiple benefits to stakeholders.

The company operates to achieve its objectives through a strategic plan until 2025, which includes increasing revenue by implementing mechanisms that support the establishment of a strong economic center and attracting related businesses, alongside raising non-oil revenues. Furthermore, the company seeks to enhance sector efficiency by forming teams that support private-sector partnerships. Additionally, it aims to enable an innovative, digital, and superior travel experience for passengers, supported by the highest safety standards.

Matarat Holding Company oversees the operation of twenty-seven airports in the Kingdom through its subsidiaries, including thirteen international airports. They are: King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh City; King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah City, King Fahd International Airport in Dammam City, Prince Nayef Bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Qassim City, Hail International Airport, al-Jawf International Airport, Taif International Airport, Abha International Airport, King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Jazan City, Prince Abdulmohsin Bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Yanbu, Prince Sultan Bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Tabuk City, in addition to al-Ahsa International Airport and al-Ula International Airport.

Matarat Holding Company supports several companies for managing and operating airports in the Kingdom, including Riyadh Airports Company (RAC), Jeddah Airports Company (JedCo), Dammam Airports Company (DACO), in addition to the Second Airports Cluster Company (Cluster2).

Matarat Holding Company launched the 'Passengers with No Bags' service on January 9, 2024. This service allows travelers to complete their travel procedures from their place of residence and ship their luggage before their flight. The service is available at all airports in the Kingdom throughout the year. It is available for both domestic and international flights. It is available for individuals and groups at the Kingdom's airports. To benefit from the service, it is required to have a reservation on one of the airlines covered by the service, provide all necessary travel documents, and ensure that the luggage is free from prohibited items.
