Saudi Feast Food Festival is an annual celebration of traditional foods in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Organized by the Culinary Arts Commission, affiliated with the Saudi Ministry of Culture, it was first held in Jeddah Governorate from December 7 to 15, 2021. The festival encompasses various objectives and paths, including cultural and educational components tailored to all segments of society.
Objectives of the Saudi Feast Food Festival
The Feast Festival aims to highlight Saudi cuisine by providing a local platform that celebrates Saudi culinary arts and presents them as cultural products. It offers empowering spaces for Saudi male and female chefs to showcase their products and skills, contributing to the delivery of educational, informative, and entertaining content for all segments of society.
Saudi Feast Food Festival paths
The first path of the Feast Festival was dedicated to the culinary arts heritage in the Red Sea regions (Tabuk, al-Madinah al-Munawwarah, Makkah al-Mukarramah, Jazan, and Aseer), offering visitors the opportunity to taste the ingredients and recipes these areas are famous for, experience their products, and learn about their heritage. The second path included live shows, both educational and informative, mixed with programs combining music and food, as well as discussion sessions with professional chefs. The third path featured bookstores selling cookbooks and a market for products branded with the festival's identity. The fourth path contained restaurants and food carts that presented visitors with more than thirty-five concepts of traditional Saudi dishes.
