King Abdulaziz Arabian Horse Center is an independent government center and the official authority for all Arabian horse matters in Saudi Arabia. It is responsible for preserving, nurturing, increasing, documenting, and developing Arabian horse breeds and organizing equestrian sports specific to them. The center is organizationally linked to the Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture, and its headquarters is located in Riyadh.
Establishment of King Abdulaziz Arabian Horse Center
King Abdulaziz Arabian Horse Center was established in 1961 under the name of the Arabian Horse Center in Dirab. In 1998, its name was changed to King Abdulaziz Arabian Horse Center.
The center houses the remaining purebred Arabian horses which lineage goes back to King Abdulaziz Al Saud's horses, as well as other lineages of Arabian purebred horses. It also includes ancient Saudi Arabian horses that trace their lineage to the known pedigrees of the Arabian Peninsula. Preserving these horses is essential for maintaining their breeding and improving their characteristics.

The number of registered horses in King Abdulaziz Arabian Horse Center was 28,360 as of 2018, with a total of 8,200 owners. The center achieved first place in the world in 2016 for the number of purebred Arabian horse births, recording 3,137 foals. The center's headquarters is located on Dirab Road, which is an agricultural area situated southwest of Riyadh. It is approximately thirty-five km away from the city and covers an area of about one million m.
