Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz Bin Aifan (born 1961) has been a member of the Shura Council in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia since October 20, 2020, and was reappointed for a second term starting September 6, 2024.

Abdullah Bin Aifan had a bachelor's degree in political science from King Saud University, then obtained a master's degree in diplomatic studies from the Institute of Diplomatic Studies affiliated with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Saudi Arabia.

Professional career of Abdullah Bin Aifan

Abdullah Bin Aifan began his career as a diplomatic attaché at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1983. In 1997, he served as Head of the Saudi Commercial Office in Taipei (Ministry of Foreign Affairs), and in 2001, he was appointed as the Director General of the Office of the Deputy Minister for Political Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He later moved on to ambassadorial roles, starting as the Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to Korea in 2006, then to Syria in 2009, and to Qatar in 2013. In 2019, he became Director General of the Minister of Foreign Affairs' Office, a position he held until his appointment to the Shura Council. Throughout his career in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, he also served as Minister Plenipotentiary and advisor at the ministry.

Abdullah Bin Aifan was also a member of the Thirty-Fifth Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Meetings and participated in the Fourth Middle East Forum held in Korea.

During his tenure at the Shura Council, Abdullah Bin Aifan has served on several committees, including the Foreign Affairs Committee. He has also been a member of the Tenth Parliamentary Friendship Committee, which includes parliaments and councils from the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Yemen, China, South Korea, Mongolia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan.

Honors of Abdullah Bin Aifan

Abdullah Bin Aifan was awarded the Order of King Faisal, Second Class, and the Order of Sultan Qaboos, Fourth Class. He also received the Personality of the Year Award from the Arab-China Friendship Association in the Republic of China in 2000.
