The Initiative for Enhancing Communication with Residents is an initiative launched by the Ministry of Media in partnership with the General Entertainment Authority (GEA) in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on October 16, 2024, to highlight the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's appreciation for the expatriates living in the country from various nationalities and cultures, and to showcase their active contributions to development across all fields.

The activities of the Initiative for Enhancing Communication with Residents were held under the slogan "Global Harmony" to introduce the citizens, residents, and visitors of Saudi Arabia to the heritage and cultural content of the countries being hosted in the initiative's events.

The Initiative for Enhancing Communication with Residents is one of the initiatives of the Quality of Life Program to achieve the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030. It was launched in Al-Suwaidi Park in Riyadh City as part of the events of Riyadh Season 2024.

Objectives of the Initiative for Enhancing Communication with Residents

The initiative highlights various aspects of the lives of expatriates in Saudi Arabia, including their professional, family, social, and recreational activities, as well as their contributions to the national economy. It also emphasizes the diversity and richness of their cultures, narrates stories of their successes, and showcases the efforts made by both government and private sectors to improve the quality of life in Saudi cities, and the areas of integration and harmony with Saudi society.

Objectives of the Initiative for Enhancing Communication with Residents

The Initiative for Enhancing Communication with Residents includes a track that highlights social and recreational activities. This track involves organizing events as part of Riyadh Season, targeting the cultures of eleven countries: the Philippines, India, Pakistan, Indonesia, Sudan, Yemen, Lebanon, Jordan, Bangladesh, Syria, and Egypt. The initiative features roaming shows, musical concerts, as well as family entertainment and cultural segments, including handmade crafts and various traditional foods, with the participation of citizens and residents from diverse nationalities.

The initiative designates a day for each community, focusing on expatriates from that specific nationality, offering cultural, artistic, and folkloric activities and performances, with the presence and participation of media from those nationalities.
