The historical significance of King Abdulaziz Palace in Linah Village lies in the village’s strategic location between Hail and the Northern Borders Provinces, situated between the northern sand dunes and Al-Hijarah, about one hundred km south of Rafha Governorate.
The Founding King Abdulaziz Bin Abdulrahman Al Saud ordered the construction of Linah Palace after the unification of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in 1935-1936, to be the seat of the regional Emirate. Its area is about 4,320 m², and it was built of stone, mud, and adobe. Its layout followed the style of palaces erected in the interior regions during the Saudi era. It featured a rectangular building whose walls were reinforced by four circular corner towers. Inside is an open courtyard around which the palace’s rooms, majlis halls, and facilities are arranged. The main entrance is centered on the southern side of the palace, with another entrance on the western side.
