

Afif Governorate (romanized: Muḥāfad͟hat ʻAfīf ) is one of the governorates of Riyadh Province, in the center of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. According to the 2022 Saudi Census, it is the seventh largest population center in the province, inhabited by 71,616 people.
Location of Afif Governorate
Afif Governorate is located 480 km northwest of the capital, Riyadh, the seat of the province's emirate. It shares borders with three administrative provinces: Qassim Province to the north, Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah Province to the northwest, and Makkah Al-Mukarramah Province to the southwest. It is bordered to the east by Al-Dawadmi and Al-Quwaiyah Governorates, and to the south by Wadi Al-Dawasir Governorate.
Space of Afif Governorate
Afif Governorate covers an area of 26,810 km. Residents and visitors of the governorate use the nearest airport, Al-Dawadmi Airport, located approximately 150 km away. It is a domestic airport with a capacity of about nine hundred thousand passengers a year.
The Main Road Fifty connects Afif Governorate to the Kingdom's major cities. The road begins in Makkah Al-Mukarramah Province in the west of the Kingdom and ends at the Saudi-Kuwaiti border in the north. It is the main land transportation hub for access to and from Afif.
