Joy Awards

The Joy Awards is an annual Saudi event held in Riyadh City, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It awards fourteen prizes to entertainment creators in the Arab world, recognizing artists who have excelled in their fields and made a positive impact. The event is overseen by the General Entertainment Authority (GEA) and is part of the activities of Riyadh Season.

The first edition of the Joy Awards was launched in 2019, the second edition took place in 2022, the third edition in 2023, the fourth edition in 2024, and the fifth edition in 2025.

The winners of the Joy Awards are chosen by the public through voting via the Joy Awards app, where they select from a group of nominees in categories such as cinema, music, social influencers, sport, and drama series. The Joy Awards ceremony includes receptions, artistic, musical, and entertainment performances, with the presence of figures from the fields of art, drama, cinema, and sport. It honors actors and artists from films, cinema, and television.

The Joy Awards include several categories: Best Actor and Best Actress, Rising Star in the Drama Series category, Best Male and Female Athlete in the Sport category, Best Actor and Best Actress in the Cinema category, Best Film in the Cinema category, Best Male and Female Influencer in the Social Influencers category, Best Rising Star and Best Artist in the Music category, Best Song in the Music category, and Best Drama Series in the Drama Works category. In addition to honorary awards, including: the Joy Awards Lifetime Achievement Award, the Lifetime Achievement Award, and the Personality of the Year Award.
