Ata Hammoud Al-Subaiti is a former member of the Shura Council in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and a specialist in human resources.

Education of Ata Al-Subaiti

Ata Al-Subaiti obtained a bachelor's degree in Arabic language and literature from the College of Arabic Language in the capital, Riyadh, in 1977. He later earned a master's degree in public administration from the University of Kansas, United States, in 1986.

Professional career of Ata Al-Subaiti

At the beginning of his professional career, Ata Al-Subaiti worked as a Recruitment Specialist at the Ministry of Civil Service from 1989 to 1993. He then served as the Director General of the ministry’s branch in Tabuk Province from 1993 to 2001. Afterward, he became the Director of the Nomination Department from 2001 to 2002. He subsequently held the position of Director General of Recruitment at the Ministry of Civil Service from 2002 to 2012, during which he oversaw the implementation of merit-based selection and equal opportunity principles by applying regulations and procedures to ensure the best candidates were chosen for vacant government positions. He then held the position of Assistant Undersecretary for Studies at the Ministry of Civil Service from 2012 to 2013. In this role, he oversaw conducting studies aimed at developing civil service systems and regulations and enhancing public sector efficiency through research, plans, and programs aimed at developing performance evaluation methods and tools for civil service agencies and employees. He also participated in formulating plans and programs related to current and future workforce needs in collaboration with relevant authorities and conducted studies on factors that enhance employee efficiency, effectiveness, and productivity.

Contributions of Ata Al-Subaiti

Ata Al-Subaiti participated in numerous local, Gulf, Arab, and international seminars and conferences specializing in e-government and e-services.

He also participated in various training programs and practical workshops across multiple fields, including administrative skills development, planning, innovation, work monitoring, business process reengineering and management, and enhancing public sector services.

During his tenure as a member of the Shura Council from January 15, 2013, to September 6, 2024, Ata Al-Subaiti served on the Culture, Sport, and Tourism Committee, one of the council’s specialized committees.
