Her Royal Highness Princess Haifa Bint Abdulaziz Bin Mohammed Bin Ayyaf Al Mogrin is the Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to the Kingdom of Spain since 2024. In 2024, she was also appointed as a non-resident ambassador to the Principality of Andorra. She previously held the position of Permanent Delegate of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). A specialist in international institutional affairs, she is one of the Saudi women who have represented Saudi Arabia in international forums. She has been awarded the Order of King Abdulaziz, First Class.

Haifa Al Mogrin's life

Princess Haifa Al Mogrin obtained a bachelor's degree in economics from King Saud University (KSU) in 2000 and a Master of Science in Economics from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London, in 2007. She has extensive experience in international affairs, with expertise in economic and social fields and their applications.

Haifa Al Mogrin's early career

Princess Haifa Al Mogrin began her professional and academic career by joining the faculty of the Economics Department at KSU. She then transitioned to the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), serving as a National Officer and Project Officer for seven years, from 2009 to 2016.

Following her tenure at UNDP, Princess Haifa Al Mogrin moved to the Ministry of Economy and Planning, where she led the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) sector. She later served as the Acting Assistant Deputy for the Group of Twenty (G20) Economic Affairs and Assistant Deputy for Sustainable Development at the Ministry of Planning. She is also a member of various boards and committees at the local, regional, and international levels, including the Board of Directors of the National Center for Non-Profit Sector Development.

Haifa Al Mogrin's efforts at 'UNESCO'

As Saudi Arabia’s Permanent Delegate to 'UNESCO' since January 2020, Princess Haifa Al Mogrin has contributed to efforts supporting and promoting the Arabic language while preserving its culture and identity. She has worked to bridge multilingual and multiethnic communities, reinforcing the role of language as a fundamental tool for safeguarding the civilizational and cultural heritage of both Arab and Saudi societies.

In 2021, Princess Haifa Al Mogrin was elected as Chair of UNESCO's Program and External Relations Commission.
