Al Arabiya Magazine was first printed in Beirut and remained there for two consecutive years before it became consistent and widely popular among the general public. The first issue was published in 1975. In 2005, supervision of the magazine was transferred from the Ministry of Higher Education to the Ministry of Culture and Media at the time. After the establishment of the Ministry of Culture as an independent entity in 2018, it assumed oversight of all cultural magazines, including Al Arabiya Magazine.
