The KAPSARC Arabic Award is an award dedicated to the Arabic language launched by the King Abdullah Petroleum Studies and Research Center (KAPSARC) in 2022. It aims to enrich specialized Arabic content in the fields of energy, economics, and environment.

Objectives of the KAPSARC Arabic Award

The KAPSARC Arabic Award aims to promote scientific writing in Arabic, enrich specialized Arabic content in the fields of energy, economics, and environment, and support creators working in the energy sector.

KAPSARC Arabic Award 2022

KAPSARC launched the first edition of the KAPSARC Arabic Award in 2022, exclusively targeting the center's employees. It featured two categories: article writing (writing an article) and translation (summary translation of a book).

KAPSARC Arabic Award 2023

KAPSARC organized the second edition of the KAPSARC Arabic Award in 2023. The theme of this edition was "Achieving Carbon Neutrality in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia," aiming to convey the latest developments in carbon neutrality to Arabic in a simplified manner for specialists and others alike. The award targeted the participation of the center's employees and creators working in the energy ecosystem. It featured two tracks: article writing (writing an article) and translation (summary translation of a book).

KAPSARC Arabic Award 2024

KAPSARC launched the third edition of the KAPSARC Arabic Award in 2024, in partnership with King Salman Global Academy for Arabic Language. Its theme was 'Environmental, Social, and Governance Sustainability Standards in the Energy Sector.' The award targeted the participation of the employees of the center and the energy ecosystem, as well as academics and postgraduates at Saudi universities. The award featured three categories: article writing (writing an article), translation (summary translation of a book), and enrichment track (an authored book in the field of energy and a translated book in the field of energy). The award grants the first-place winner SAR25,000, second-place SAR20,000, and third-place SAR15,000.
