Jeddah International Agriculture Exhibition (AGEX)

Jeddah International Agriculture Exhibition, known as 'AGEX,' is a platform to explore the latest products, ‏technologies‏, and services in the agricultural sector through engagement with local, regional, and international experts. The first edition of the exhibition commenced on December 5, 2022, at the Jeddah Center for Events and Forums. The exhibition aims to exchange knowledge, promote investment opportunities in the agricultural sector within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and enhance business activities in agricultural production and related fields.

The AGEX, which lasted for three days, covered an indoor area of ten thousand m² and an additional outdoor space of approximately five thousand m². The event featured participation from over one hundred local and international companies and two hundred exhibitors across sectors such as plants, dairy, cheese, poultry, flowers, and irrigation, as well as companies specializing in food products, livestock, and fisheries. The exhibition attracted more than six thousand visitors.

The three-day exhibition provided an opportunity for business people, local, regional, and international experts, industrialists, wholesalers, stakeholders, enthusiasts, exporters, and importers to explore the latest ideas and innovations, negotiate deals, and discuss ways to activate trade movement. It aimed to facilitate awareness of these products, from supplier to exporter and consumer.

On the sidelines of AGEX, the 'Forum on Keeping Pace with the Latest Technologies, Products, and Services' influencing global and regional markets was held. Additionally, the exhibition featured a food products showcase that provided investment and business opportunities in the agricultural sector, access to the latest agricultural engineering technologies, and the establishment of businesses related to agricultural products.

The exhibition addressed the current state of the food industries in Saudi Arabia and worldwide, examining the challenges faced by companies regarding the availability of production supplies, export processes, and the provision of raw materials. It facilitated discussions with experts in the agricultural field and explored solutions to achieve optimal competitiveness in the food industry.
