Al-Suwailem Cabin (Maqsourat al-Suwailem) is a historic building located in al-Bukayriyah Governorate in Qassim Province, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It previously served as the emirate's headquarters and as a residence for some members of Al Suwailem family. The palace was visited by several imams and kings of the Saudi state, including Imam Faisal Bin Turki and Founding King Abdulaziz Bin Abdulrahman Al Saud, who visited it in 1907, three years after the Battle of al-Bukayriyah against Abdulaziz Bin Rashid.

Construction of al-Suwailem Cabin

Al-Suwailem Cabin was constructed at the beginning of the nineteenth century by Abdullah Bin Suwailem, governor of al-Bukayriyah, in 1825. In 1995, Mohammed Bin Ali al-Suwailem restored the cabin and its annexes, and another restoration was undertaken in 2007, covering the buildings and surrounding courtyards.

Elements of al-Suwailem Cabin

Al-Suwailem Cabin consists of a main two-story building, with the first floor designated for storage and food, while the second floor serves as the family’s residence. It includes several annexes, such as al-Suwailem Coffeehouse, separated from the cabin by a passage known as the Coffee Market; al-Masabeeh, which are rooms attached to the cabin; and al-Suwailem Well, located adjacent to the main door of the coffeehouse. This well is the second to be dug in al-Bukayriyah, established by Suwailem Bin Othman Bin Suwailem during the town's founding. Another annex is al- Mudhaif, a building attached to the coffeehouse, designated for hosting guests.

The cabin features three doors: the northern door, leading to the palm groves; the southern door, leading to the Coffee Market; and the western door, opening to the palm groves.
