Ibrahim Bin Mahmoud Bin Yassin Al-Nahas has been a member of the Shura Council since December 2, 2016, and is a member of the Foreign Affairs Committee under the Shura Council. He has conducted several workshops and chaired numerous academic seminars on education quality.

Ibrahim Al-Nahas earned his bachelor's degree in political science in 1996 from the College of Administrative Sciences at King Saud University in the capital, Riyadh. He later obtained a master's degree in international relations in 2003 from the American University in Washington, D.C., United States of America. In 2007, he completed his Ph.D. in international relations at West Virginia University in Morgantown, West Virginia, United States of America.

Professional life of Ibrahim Al-Nahas

He worked in the Education Administration in AlUla Governorate until 1998. Subsequently, he became a teaching assistant in the Department of Political Science at the College of Administrative Sciences at King Saud University. He then served as the Vice Dean for Development and Quality at the College of Law and Political Science. He then chaired the Political Science Department at King Saud University from 2014 until he was appointed a member of the Shura Council.

Positions and memberships held by Ibrahim Al-Nahas

Ibrahim Al-Nahas has held numerous memberships throughout his career. He has been a member of the Political Science Department Council since June 27, 2007. Additionally, he served as a member of the Appointments and Scholarships Committee in the Political Science Department at the College of Law and Political Science at King Saud University from September 8, 2007, until December 1, 2016. He was also the coordinator of class schedules for the Political Science Department at the College of Law and Political Science at King Saud University from September 8, 2007, until the end of the 2010-2011 academic year.

He chaired the Committee for the Development of Programs in the College of Law and Political Science from November 5, 2008, until it concluded its operations on February 6, 2009. He was a member of the committee responsible for the college's site on the university portal from November 26, 2008, until November 4, 2010. Furthermore, he was the director of the Skills Development Unit at the College of Law and Political Science from December 23, 2008, until February 5, 2009. Al-Nahas also participated as a member of the Coordination and Preparation Committee for the Program to Attract Distinguished Faculty Members and Scholars from within and outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia from January 21, 2009, until December 29, 2010. He chaired the Class Schedules Committee at the College of Law and Political Science from February 28, 2009, until the end of the 2010-2011 academic year. Additionally, he was a member of the Research Center at the College of Law and Political Science from February 8, 2010, until January 17, 2012.

He served on the Council of the College of Law and Political Science from February 9, 2013, until December 1, 2016. He was a part-time consultant for the Ministry of Culture and Media (now the Ministry of Media) from May 4, 2008, until April 23, 2009, and served as a part-time consultant at the Institute of Diplomatic Studies within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from February 8, 2011, until December 15, 2015.

Since May 11, 2008, he has been the Head of the Quality Unit at the College of Law and Political Science. He also serves as a member and the acting head of the Committee for the Care of Outstanding Students and Scholarship Recipients at the college level, a position he has maintained since February 2011. Furthermore, he offers consultancy services to various governmental and institutional entities.
