Launch of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' Guests Program
The program was launched in 1997 and it aimed to host Muslims from around the world to perform Hajj and Umrah rituals. The program offers religious and guidance services to its guests in the Holy Sites, Makkah Al-Mukarramah, and Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah. Additionally, it provides a medical delegation that accompanies the guests throughout their pilgrimage.
Objectives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' Guests Program
The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' Guests Program aims to offer the world an image of the moderate Islamic awareness of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It seeks to enhance the positive mental image of Saudi Arabia, introduce the guests to Saudi Arabia's efforts in serving the Holy Quran and the Two Holy Mosques, and facilitate the performance of Hajj and Umrah rituals for influential Muslims in their societies, as well as for those who recently became Muslims.
It also aims to build a positive and lasting relationship with elites from different countries of the world, grant Muslim elites the opportunity to cooperate and coordinate together through becoming acquainted within the scope of the program, enhance ties with Islamic figures and representatives of Muslim minorities in the world, and promote Islamic brotherhood.
Services of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' Guests Program
The program features meetings, lectures, conferences, and seminars with scholars and callers to Islam in addition to meetings with the Imams of the Two Holy Mosques. Those activities focus on calling to worship Allah, the Almighty, upon relying on reason, good advice, moderation, and dialogue.
The program dedicates equipped clinics for men and women and provides ambulances to transport critical cases. These services are provided in cooperation with the Ministry of Health and seek to provide round-the-clock medical, health, and counseling services to pilgrims in Makkah Al-Mukarramah, the Holy Sites, and Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah.
The program implements a series of awareness and guidance lectures and seminars at the residences of the program's guests. A group of scholars, students, judges, and faculty members of Saudi universities participate in those lectures, along with specialized translators who translate content into more than fifteen international languages.
