
Eleven cultural commissions affiliated with the Ministry of Culture in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia work on developing capabilities and enhancing opportunities and capacities in the cultural sector, following the Council of Ministers' approval to establish them in 2020. They are:
Architecture and Design Commission
It works on promoting architectural arts in the Kingdom, keeping pace with global developments in the sector, and supporting and encouraging practitioners in the field.
Culinary Arts Commission
It focuses on developing the culinary arts sector and advancing its components.
Music Commission
It sets the artistic and professional foundations and standards for the sector in the Kingdom, within the framework of developing the sector and supporting and encouraging practitioners.
Libraries Commission
It supervises and organizes libraries, making them a culturally equipped resource for all segments of society.
Theater and Performing Arts Commission
It aims to develop and stimulate the theater and performing arts sector by supporting projects, encouraging practitioners, and setting regulations.
Museums Commission
It works on developing museums, enhancing this sector, encouraging its practitioners, and supporting related projects.
Visual Arts Commission
It encourages and supports artists, stimulating the artistic environment in the Kingdom.
Film Commission
It aims to develop and regulate the film sector, elevate production levels by supporting industry professionals, and enhance the knowledge environment within the field.
Fashion Commission
It regulates the work of the fashion sector and oversees the quality assurance of the sector's outputs in the Kingdom.
Literature, Publishing, and Translation Commission
It regulates the sector's work, supervises its development, and advances its components.
Heritage Commission
It aims to enhance efforts related to national heritage, promote protection methods, and raise awareness and interest in it.
