Establishment of the Saudi Paper Manufacturing Co.

The Saudi Paper Manufacturing Co. began in 1991 as a small sole proprietorship, producing large tissue paper rolls. In 1992, it established its first production unit with a capacity of 16,000 t.

The company underwent several development phases. In 2014, it rebuilt its first production line with an annual production capacity of 28,000 t. In 2022, it launched the project to reconstruct Paper Machine Two in collaboration with the global company Tesco Tech, installing a complete production line with an annual capacity of thirty thousand t.

Activity of the Saudi Paper Manufacturing Co.

The Saudi Paper Manufacturing Co. operates as part of the Saudi Paper Group (SPG) within an integrated ecosystem. The group includes two additional companies: the Saudi Recycling Company and the Saudi Paper Converting Company.

The operations of the Saudi Paper Manufacturing Co. focus on the manufacturing sector, encompassing the procurement, production, and distribution of paper pulp and tissue paper. It is the largest manufacturer of jumbo tissue rolls in the Kingdom and one of the largest in the Middle East.

The Saudi Recycling Co., established in 2002, specializes in collecting and sorting paper for use in the de-inking unit and selling it to other paper roll manufacturers. On the other hand, the Saudi Paper Converting Company, established in 2003, serves as the investment arm in the paper converting sector. It focuses on producing high-quality finished paper products under well-known brands such as Meshwar, City, Excellence, and SBC Pro.

Expansion of the SPG activities

SPG established fully or partially owned companies to expand its operations and investments across the Arabian Gulf and the Middle East, including al-Jothoor Paper Tissue Manufacturing Company (Kuwait), al-Madar Paper Trading Company (UAE), al-Madar Paper Company (Algeria), al-Madar Paper Company (Morocco), al-Madar Company (Jordan), the Jordanian-Saudi Paper Converting Company, and another paper converting operation in Morocco.
