Which Saudi Province Won the World Region of Gastronomy Title 2024?

In June 2022, the International Institute of Gastronomy, Culture, Arts, and Tourism (IGCAT) announced that Aseer Province won the World Region of Gastronomy title 2024. It was the first non-European region to win the title granted to member regions of the platform, provided they meet the institute's criteria and operate in the sectors of economic, cultural, social, and environmental development fields through gastronomy, ultimately supporting sustainable regional development.

The Culinary Arts Commission received the "World Region of Gastronomy Title 2024" during a ceremony held on September 24, 2022, in the Italian city of Turin.
