Sultan Albarakati

Sultan Albarakati is a Saudi professor, specializing in mathematics. He is a senior assistant professor at the Computer, Electrical, and Mathematical Science and Engineering Division of the Center for Teaching and Learning at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST). He is also the director general of KAUST Academy.

Sultan Albarakati enrolled in Umm al-Qura University, in Makkah al-Mukarramah, where he obtained a bachelor's degree in mathematics in 2004. He earned a master's degree in applied mathematics from King Abdullah University of Science and Technology before obtaining a doctoral degree in applied mathematics from the same university in 2020.

Sultan Albarakati is the director general of KAUST Academy, which established a platform for continuing education in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The academy aims to enhance technical skills in the job market and develop a skilled Saudi workforce via training programs targeting university students and junior professionals, where their academic and professional training is enhanced with short, intensive courses in the areas of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data science.
