Timeline of King Fahd Causeway

After his visit to Bahrain, King Saud Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud initiated the idea of constructing a marine causeway connecting the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Bahrain.

King Faisal Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud ordered the formation of a committee to elaborate on a study on the execution of the marine causeway.

The agreement for the execution of the causeway was signed in Manama, the capital of Bahrain.

The cornerstone for building King Fahd Causeway was laid, and the execution works began.

The dimensions and coordinates of the causeway were determined, and the King Fahd Causeway Authority was established.

King Fahd Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Sheikh Isa Bin Salman Al Khalifa officially inaugurated the causeway.
