List of Royal Reserves in Saudi Arabia

In 2018, a Royal Decree was issued to establish the Council of Royal Reserves in the Royal Court. Each reserve is governed by a board of directors with legal personality and financial and administrative independence. Royal reserves, totaling eight reserves, were renamed. These nature reserves are distributed across various regions of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as follows:

Imam Abdulaziz Bin Mohammed Royal Reserve

Its board of directors is chaired by Prince Turki Bin Mohammed Bin Fahd. Previously known as 'Rawdat Khuraim Reserve,' the reserve was renamed, and neighboring areas were added to it upon designating it as a royal reserve.

Imam Turki Bin Abdullah Royal Reserve

Previously known as 'al-Taysiyah' Natural Reserve, its board of directors is chaired by Prince Turki Bin Mohammed Bin Fahd Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

Imam Saud Bin Abdulaziz Royal Reserve

Previously known as 'Mahazat as-Sayd' Reserve, it is chaired by Prince Abdullah Bin Bandar Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

King Abdulaziz Royal Reserve

Chaired by Prince Abdulaziz Bin Saud Bin Nayef, the royal reserve was formed by merging 'at-Tanhat and al-Khafs' nature reserves, in addition to neighboring areas.

King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Royal Reserve

Prince Abdulaziz Bin Saud Bin Nayef is the chairman of its board. The reserve encompasses three former nature reserves: 'al-Khunfah, al-Tubayq, and Harrat al-Harrah.'

Prince Mohammed Bin Salman Royal Reserve

Chaired by Crown Prince and Prime Minister, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed Bin Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, it includes the area between the NEOM project, the Red Sea project, and al-Ula.

King Khalid Royal Reserve

Prince Turki Bin Mohammed Bin Fahd is the chairman of its board of directors. The reserve is located in Riyadh City and features diverse landscapes.

Imam Faisal Bin Turki Royal Reserve

Prince Turki Bin Talal Bin Abdulaziz serves as its chairman of the board of directors. It stretches over three administrative provinces: Aseer, Jazan, and Makkah al-Mukarramah, encompassing areas within the Kingdom’s territorial waters in the Red Sea.
