The Business Owners Award is dedicated to honoring and appreciating the contributions of businesswomen and businessmen who support cultural activities across various cultural sectors in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This award highlights their active role in fostering Saudi cultural production, whether through sponsoring creative talents of both genders, providing direct or indirect financial support for cultural activities, initiatives, and entities, contributing to the establishment of cultural assets for public benefit, or offering heritage and cultural buildings for the cultural ecosystem.
The award, part of the third edition of the National Cultural Awards Initiative, was announced on January 26, 2023. This initiative is overseen by the Saudi Ministry of Culture.
Objectives of the Business Owners Award
The Business Owners Award aims to honor the cultural contributions of businesswomen and businessmen and recognize their important role as complementary and supportive partners to the efforts of cultural entities. It seeks to showcase their cultural contributions to the public and emphasize their significance in fostering cultural production.
The award also aims to support and encourage businesswomen and businessmen to participate in cultural activities, in addition to promoting the role of society in supporting cultural production and reinforcing the interconnected efforts of all components of the cultural sector, including government, private, and non-profit entities, to build an effective cultural ecosystem that enables everyone to contribute to its development and growth.

The Business Owners Award is open to businesswomen and businessmen who support cultural activities in the Kingdom.

The award track focuses on contributions to the restoration of heritage buildings and palaces.
Nomination requirements for the Business Owners Award
Nomination for the Business Owners Award requires meeting several conditions, including: the nominee must be a Saudi national or the child of a Saudi mother, be at least twenty-one years old at the time of nomination, and have work that is practically implemented. A resume detailing the nominee's contributions to the Saudi urban heritage sector must be attached, along with their participation in restoration projects or their role in initiatives that support and preserve national heritage. All submitted personal information and data must be accurate in the attached files, and the nominee’s work must not conflict with any local or international regulations, rights, or laws, nor encourage, in any way, the violation of such rights, regulations, or laws. The award does not allow previous award recipients to be nominated again for the same award.
