List of National Cultural Awards

The National Cultural Awards are granted to Saudi citizens and active institutions that achieve accomplishments across sixteen cultural and artistic tracks, launched by the Ministry of Culture in 2020. Winners receive financial and moral support to enhance their activities, in addition to honorary representation of a cultural sector at events and occasions held during the year they won. The awards include:

The award is granted based on the individual’s contributions to enriching and developing a cultural sector, their role in raising cultural awareness, and their ability to create tangible cultural momentum.

The award is granted to citizens between the ages of twenty-one and forty who have made a distinguished cultural contribution in one of the cultural sectors.

This award aims to celebrate and honor international individuals and cultural institutions that have contributed to enriching the contemporary international cultural scene in selected topics within the sixteen cultural sectors.

This award is dedicated to honoring and recognizing the contributions of businesswomen and businessmen who support cultural activities across all cultural sub-sectors in the regions of the Kingdom. It highlights their role in developing Saudi cultural production, whether through sponsoring creative individuals of both genders, providing direct and indirect financial support for initiatives, activities, and cultural entities, contributing to the establishment of cultural assets for public benefit, or donating cultural and heritage buildings to the cultural system.

This award is granted to the private and non-profit sectors to recognize and enhance their active role in serving culture in the Kingdom. It acknowledges the efforts made by these institutions in developing the cultural scene at the national level.

The award honors the creator of the best literary work within four categories: poetry collections, novels, short story collections, and children's literature. Each year, a single track is designated for the award under one of these categories.

It aims to honor Saudi artists who have produced the most distinguished works in the fields of visual arts or contemporary arts.
