The Artificial Intelligence Scholarship Program is an initiative launched by the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA), in partnership with the Ministry of Education and the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Scholarship Program, on September 12, 2024.
Objectives of the Artificial Intelligence Scholarship Program
The Artificial Intelligence Scholarship Program aims to meet the job market’s demand for qualified national talent in data and artificial intelligence fields, support scholarship recipients' scientific research focused on national challenges, contribute to the localization of data and AI-related jobs, and increase the employment rate of graduates from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Scholarship Program.

The Artificial Intelligence Scholarship Program covers several fields, including artificial intelligence, robotics, data science, machine learning, computer vision, deep learning, natural language processing, big data, generative AI, smart cities, AI information security, and computer science.
Services of the Artificial Intelligence Scholarship Program
The Artificial Intelligence Scholarship Program offers a range of services, including academic advising, access to training and entrepreneurship opportunities, provision of training and research opportunities in partnership with international entities, contribution to solutions for national challenges, collaboration with research groups, and the establishment of an AI Scholars Network.
Admission requirements for the Artificial Intelligence Scholarship Program
Admission to the Artificial Intelligence Scholarship Program requires several conditions, including that the applicant must be a Saudi national, qualify as an accredited institution in the Kingdom, or have the qualification recognized by the Saudi Ministry of Education if obtained from an educational institution outside the Kingdom. Additionally, the applicant’s last academic qualification must have a minimum grade of "Very Good."
The applicant must also have final admission from one of the designated universities in the program, along with an official scholarship approval, and the admission must be in one of the targeted fields or their specializations. The applicant must study on a full-time basis and be fully committed to studying at the scholarship location for the entire duration. Additionally, they must pass a personal interview, complete the required medical examinations, and compete successfully for the available seats.
