Hattan al-Saif is a Saudi boxer and the first female athlete in the Saudi national mixed martial arts team. She is also the first Saudi woman to join the Professional Fighters League (PFL). She is the world champion in "Muaythai" boxing, the gold medalist in the World Combat Games, and has been named the best female boxer in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for two consecutive years.
Beginnings of Hattan al-Saif
In 2021, Hattan al-Saif began her journey with boxing through a private club. She was then contacted by Saudi boxer Abdullah al-Qahtani, who convinced her to join a specialized boxing club. A week after joining, Hattan entered her first women's boxing championship. Despite losing the game, it was the starting point for her participation in martial arts after coach Firas Saadi, coach of the Saudi national "Muaythai" boxing team, persuaded her to practice martial arts. At that time, Hattan focused on Muaythai boxing and started training in ordinary and Muaythai boxing simultaneously.
Hattan, a world champion
Hattan al-Saif participated in the World Muaythai Boxing Championship in 2022 but did not achieve a positive result. In 2023, she returned to participate again in the world championship and won the world gold medal in boxing, becoming the first Saudi woman to make this achievement.
Hattan al-Saif joins PFL
Hattan al-Saif joined PFL and participated in the Professional Fighters League, managing to clinch the title after defeating Egyptian Nada Fahim by knockout within forty seconds.
