Prince Abdullah Bin Jalawi Sport City is located in al-Ahsa Governorate and is one of the multi-purpose sports facilities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It is one of the sport cities that host various matches and sporting events, and it is overseen by the Ministry of Sport.
Establishment of Prince Abdullah Bin Jalawi Sport City
Prince Abdullah Bin Jalawi Sport City was inaugurated in 1983 in al-Hufuf City, covering an area of 280,000 m. It is bordered to the north by the Municipal Park (now known as al-Ahsa Municipality Park) and parking lots, to the south by private farms, to the east by an open area, and to the west by the main road, where the sport city ends.
Facilities of Prince Abdullah Bin Jalawi Sport City
The city was designed with carefully planned divisions, internal roads, parking areas, and green spaces. It is a fully integrated sport city that hosts various sports activities and was constructed as a single project. The city includes a secondary football field with natural grass, another with artificial turf, and bleachers for the secondary field that can accommodate over four hundred spectators.
The city consists of a sport stadium, which includes a football field, an athletics track with its facilities, and a building housing various city administrations. It also features youth hostels with their annexes, which include an indoor swimming pool, an indoor sports hall with its facilities, outdoor illuminated sports courts, a training field, outer fences and gates, a building for the media center and press conferences, and another football field covered with artificial turf.
