The Poet of King Abdulaziz is Ahmed Bin Ibrahim al-Ghazzawi (1900 - 1981), a Saudi writer, poet, historian, and researcher. He was given the title of the poet of King Abdulaziz by King Abdulaziz Bin Abdulrahman Al Saud in 1933. He is considered one of the first generation of al-Hijaz writers and a pioneer of the literary Renaissance in the modern era. He was known for his journalistic writings and proficiency in the Arabic language. King Abdulaziz entrusted him with editing Umm al-Qura, and later, he edited Sawt al-Hijaz and al-Islah Magazine.
