Financial Sector Conference 2023

The Financial Sector Conference 2023 is one of the initiatives of the Financial Sector Development Program emanating from Saudi Vision 2030. It is perceived worldwide as a major financial conference that attracts decision-makers and senior executives in financial institutions. The second edition of the conference was held on March 15-16, 2023, in King Abdulaziz International Conference Center, Riyadh. It represents a significant dialogue platform that attracts decision-makers in the financial sector and senior executives in financial institutions. It is organized by Financial Sector Development Program partners, represented by the Ministry of Finance, the Saudi Central Bank, and the Capital Market Authority.

The Financial Sector Conference 2023 offers participants the opportunity to examine the successes achieved by the financial sector in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and to understand the transformations that have taken place within the financial industry in general. The conference provides a platform for participating elites, including legislators, jurists, and experts from around the world, to stay up-to-date on the latest developments in the financial sector, monetary banking, investment, and insurance. Moreover, the conference aligns with the Saudi Vision 2030's Financial Sector Development Program.

The conference aims to strengthen the financial sector in the Kingdom and represents a window to showcase many promising investment opportunities in the sector, considering that the Kingdom has the largest financial market in the region."

The Financial Sector Conference 2023 features themes within sessions, panels, and expert discussions. These themes are centered around the Global Economy.. challenges and opportunities, Financial Institutions in the New Financial Reality, Resilience and Adaptation, Secure Investments for the Future; and The Future of the Financial Sector in the Age of Digitalization.

The agenda for the Financial Sector Conference 2023 included discussions on strategic options for the financial sector amid the global economic landscape, future investments: the thirteen strategic sectors, expert economic forecasts, shaping the future of digital payments, shifting focus from risk aversion to new opportunities in the insurance sector, the central bank's digital transformation strategy: public finance in the digital age, digital securities and stablecoins: creating a stable market structure, and the sustainability of global public debt: the role of supranational organizations.

Approximately seventy entities from around the globe, along with 3,200 attendees, participated in the Financial Sector Conference 2023. The conference featured one hundred speakers, thirty panel discussions, and thirty-five specialized workshops.

The first edition of the conference was held in 2019 under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. It was organized by the Ministry of Finance, the Saudi Central Bank, and the Capital Market Authority under the theme (Promising Financial Horizons).
