The National Gas and Industrialization Company (GASCO) is a Saudi joint-stock company operating in the field of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It was established in 1963 through the merger of the National Gas Company in Dammam and its two branches in Riyadh and Jeddah with the Saudi Gas and Manufacturing Company in Riyadh and its Dammam branch in 1975. In the early 1970s, several small companies and institutions were established to fill and distribute gas. However, intense competition led to a decline in service quality and inconsistent gas availability. This situation prompted the government to intervene and decide to merge these companies and institutions with the National Gas and Industrialization Company (GASCO) at the end of 1975.
