Nana Direct is a digital shopping platform for groceries based in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It provides digital solutions developed for grocery shopping and household supplies in partnership with stores and markets across the Kingdom. The platform was launched in January 2016.
Platform start
The idea for Nana Direct emerged after a decade of experience in the world of e-commerce. The project went through several execution phases over two years to identify problems and provide solutions. Consequently, Nana Direct was launched as the first online store of its kind for purchasing household needs, initially starting in Riyadh City with a 50 percent market share. By the end of 2022, the service had expanded to cover fourteen cities across the Kingdom, with strategic plans to activate the platform in all cities of the Kingdom.

Several economic entities have invested in Nana Direct as a part of their efforts to enhance the digital shopping sector in the Kingdom and the region. These investors are interested in supporting promising Saudi startups with high growth potential. The investors include Kingdom Holding Company, (Uni-Ventures), a subsidiary of Orascom Investment, Middle East Venture Partners, Impact46, Sultan Holding, al-Jasser Holding, Red Diamond, Dallah al-Baraka Group, and al-Jammaz Holding.
