Riyadh Purebred Arabian Horse Festival

The Riyadh Purebred Arabian Horse Festival (Jawadi) is one of the entertainment events held during Riyadh Season 2022. It combines equestrian sports, entertainment, and heritage. It took place from November 29 to December 3, 2022, at al-Duhami Equestrian Center. The festival included the Saudi Production Champions Cup, the first of its kind in the world, along with two championships for the beauty of the purebred Arabian horses.

Diwaniyat al-Fursan is one of the festival event venues, and it is open to visitors and inspired by Saudi heritage. The Diwaniyah has a traditional atmosphere where visitors can hear stories about purebred Arabian horses and the unification of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through heritage narratives.

The festival witnessed various activities specifically for Saudi-origin and bred horses, and the public visitors to the festival were given the opportunity to participate in workshops that brought together specialists and horse breeders. The festival also featured daily horse performances for one full hour per day. Among the accompanying activities were live heritage cooking shows, folkloric shows, live music shows, traditional crafts, and several areas designated for restaurants and shopping.

The Saudi Production Championship Cup was one of the events accompanying the Riyadh Purebred Arabian Horse Festival. It took place from December 2-3, 2022, organized by the Arabian Horse Organization (AHO). The competition witnessed the participation of eighty locally bred horses, with prizes totaling approximately SAR750,000, distributed among the winners of gold, silver, and bronze medals.
