Amana Cooperative Insurance Company was established as a Saudi joint-stock company under Royal Decree No. M/35 in 2009 and Council of Ministers Resolution No. 188 in 2009. The company was licensed by the General Investment Authority (now the Ministry of Investment) with License No. 1-102030094185 in 2009 and registered with Commercial Registration (No. 1010288711) in 2010. Its headquarters is located in Riyadh City. The company began its operations after receiving approval from the Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority (the Saudi Central Bank) with license (No. TMN/20107/30) on July 6, 2010. At its inception, the company's capital was SAR320 million, divided into thirty-two million ordinary shares with a nominal value of SAR10 per share.
