Al-Ula Manara Space Observatory is an observatory launched by the Royal Commission for al-Ula Governorate in al-Madinah al-Munawwarah Province of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It was established in collaboration with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology and King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology. The observatory aims to be a hub for scientific discovery, innovative research, and sustainable economic opportunities.

Al-Ula Manara Space Observatory, a tourist destination

Al-Ula Manara Space Observatory was launched based on the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed Bin Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, crown prince, prime minister, and chairman of the Board of Directors of the Royal Commission for al-Ula Governorate. It aims to become a landmark for scientific discovery attracting enthusiasts from around the world.

The Governor of the Royal Commission for al-Ula, Prince Badr Bin Abdullah Bin Farhan Al Saud, signed a joint cooperation agreement with the Minister of Communications and Information Technology and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Space Agency, and King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology, Engineer Abdullah al-Sawaha, to launch the observatory on March 2, 2023. This initiative is expected to be a significant milestone in tourism and scientific advancement.

The observatory offers the opportunity to observe the stars and watch fun shows that blend the past with the present, showcasing both ancient and modern scientific discoveries. It also provides researchers, scholars, and space enthusiasts with the chance to benefit from its scientific facilities.

The project provides the necessary infrastructure to realize the Kingdom's vision of openness to all sciences, including space science.
