Warqan is the highest peak in Hejaz Mountains located in the western highlands in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It is situated southwest of al-Madinah al-Munawwarah Province, with an altitude of about 2,393 m, followed by Radwa Mount which is 2,282 m high, and Idgiss Mountain at 2,161 m.
Hejaz Mountains are the central part of the western highlands, extending from the north of Taif Governorate to the south of al-Wajh City. These mountains are smaller than the Sarawat Mountains in terms of height and terrain. Several valleys descend from Hejaz in the west, and pour into the Red Sea, including: Fatima Valley, al-Abwa', al-Safra', al-Hamad, etc. Furthermore, a group of lava fields are located in the eastern outskirts of Hejaz Mountains, including: Harrat Rahat, Harrat Khaybar, Harrat al Uwayrid, and Harrat Ar Rahah.
