The number of coffee plants in Jazan Province, southwest of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, is around 340,000 plants across 1985 farms. The province has an average annual coffee production of approximately 2,040 t, with a net yield of 340 t. These plants cover several mountainous governorates, including al-Dayer, Fayfa, al-Aidabi, Harub, al-Raith, and al-Ardah.
Coffee cultivation in the Kingdom has a high specificity. The coffee produced locally is linked to the preparation of Saudi coffee, a staple served at all celebrations and social occasions in the Kingdom. Regarded as a cultural symbol, the year 2022 was designated as the Year of Saudi Coffee in celebration of coffee.
